Smitten with Flowers

It doesn’t take long to start imagining everything you see through your camera’s eye. Some of these flowers are weeds, some are wild, some are carefully cultivated in gardens… but all of them caught my eye just as they might catch the attention of a bee or a bird or another important creature in their lifecycle. Flowers are arresting in colour, shape, and aroma. All these photos were taken in the last week. It’s hard not to be smitten, don’t you think?

    1. Oh it’s only about where they’re growing. 🙂. What we call Scotch thistles are rampant weeds here but maybe in Scotland (assuming their name has anything to to do with their origin) they are welcome and admired.
