I had a couple of lovely clumps of spring stars like these, and something has eaten one of them! I got to enjoy them for a couple of weeks first at least. Yours are lovely.

We have a very violent rooster who attacks everyone. I’ve been thinking of putting him outside the coop and letting him take his chances with the wedgies.

They certainly behave like bulbs – just appearing quite suddenly in the spring.

Life outside is definitely harder further from the city. My parents lost two chooks to wedgies last week.
