This one does. No actually lots do. In fact most Mums when teaching babies to say thank you or asking for something from baby say over and over “ta. ta. ta. ta.” But it’s used in adult to adult speech too.
Thanks! It does look like TinTin’s dog doesn’t it?! We have considered changing his name. But in English speaking cartoons/movies, TinTin’s dog is called Snowy (which I think isn’t a very exciting name). Milou is more interesting because I don’t know what it means. I tried it in Google Translate as a French word but it didn’t enlighten. Perhaps each translation of TinTin has adopted a different name for the dog?
Sipping at tree tops … lovely.

That’s really interesting. It’s quite regional, northern England and Wales, I believe (I read it somewhere).

Just fantastic combo with photo and poem. Wonder if it’s your dog or TinTin’s dog Milou?

Apparently in Slovak Milou means “nice”!
