I dipped my toes in only. Was chilly but I am not a swimming enthusiast. Most people swam but wore wet suits. Mr W stood in the surf helping kids on boogie boards. He said his legs were cold when he emerged after an hour or so.
Maybe it is but Australians aren’t that tough. 🙂 I believe the general knowledge is that there’s a current that comes through from the north at some point around early summer and warms the water from about 11-14 degrees Celcius to more like 18-22 degrees. Mr W says he was mainly cold yesterday because he wasn’t actually swimming but was getting wet by the waves and then was in the breeze.
Thanks Ulle. It’s early autumn here after an extremely mild and wet summer. Maybe all the flooding has hit international news? We haven’t personally been affected by the flooding but definitely a lot of rain!
There’s a definite Vettriano feel to this.

And I must ask. Are you standing the water? Is it warm?

That’s interesting. I always assumed the water around Australia was much warmer.

With the war going on not so much about the flooding, but it made the news here too. I love autumn.

I love autumn too. Usually my least favourite season is summer but this year it was okay in Canberra.
