Thanks. Every year the birds and possums eat our pears. Whenever we’ve tried picking them, they’re black inside. We really need to try netting them. But anyway, it feels kind of good to know the local animals get a good feed.
I was much the same with mangoes. The fruit looked good from the outside but possums ate the tree side. I netted peach and nectarine but too many native animals and birds died tangled in the netting 😥
Oh that’s sad! ;-( Netting is a problem like that. I remember my parents rescued a red belly black from some netting in their vegie garden. That took courage as well as compassion.
