😆 Sounds about right. Poor thing is a bit lonely. None of the other eggs have hatched yet. We had to collect over several days as we only had two hens laying. Einstein is australorp/silkie x Should be interesting. 😀
I know we’re supposed to love babies regardless of gender… but I bet hoping it’s a girl 😀
Hopefully the other eggs will hatch soon. I’ve heard that hearing peeping from another chick helps them hatch.
Yes, of course we want a hen. But if it’s a rooster, I think Mum will take it. She had to get rid of her rooster. He was enormous and was causing significant damage to the poor hens. So a silkie cross might be a good choice. If those eggs want peeping, Einstein sure ain’t shy about that. 🙂
