
Even although Einstein has been living outside for around 6 weeks now and is fairly well integrated with the rest of the flock, he/she still comes to the window occasionally at dusk to see if we’ll let him/her sleep inside again.

ha ha. Nope, having raised Einstein and a batch of 5 x silkies from day-old, I can tell you that by the time they’re old enough to go outside, I bid them a fond farewell, shut the coop gate, and dance a little jig of joy. Chooks inside is a messy, messy business and, both times in our case, complicated by other pets in the house.
