So I don’t know what the standard procedure/etiquette is in these scenarios but last Monday I was very excited to receive an email saying that I am short listed for a prize in the Women Writers’ Society of NSW’s National Writing Competition. I submitted 3 poems and one of them is in the running for the prize. I will attend a lunch in Sydney on November 9th to find out the winner. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Last night I received their monthly newsletter and they named all the shortlisted poets. Having done some googling of their work, I feel honoured to be listed amongst them!
Bravo! Best of luck… I’m pulling for you.
