clippers too must dream of flight don’t you think seeing nail ends leap-frog-leaping their slivered herds of ten or twenty, like popcorn in hot oil perhaps wishing they were moons or bookmarks of night and day at least… meanwhile dragon fly clippers seek the sky in breathless silver it’s a domestic orbit, winking at gods we all love the morning sun

I love the shift of perspective in this – I started thinking clippers as in ships, before realising it was nail clippers. 😀

I will never think of cutting my son’s nails the same way. I love the first stanza sooooo much. The rest is excellent too.
