NovPAD Day 1 (Beginning & End Poems) + Miz Quickly (Introduce yourself)
beginning I touch them those crisp little suns paper daisies waving and think that’s who I want to be bright and certain intractable as the frogs planning world domination from ditches full of trickling me in the spring the jonquil appears a hidden bulb ending he tells me old people think of death “I’m one of them” he says I regard the door he’s shut its certain grain through the keyhole I hear that whistle like the crying of lost winds and yet I know fear sprung from any pain shapeless and blinding as cataracts

“ending” pulled at my heart – because it’s so true. All three levels are wonderful.

Just adore this. I love the ending most. But the quiet interlude of “me” says so much too. Sort of a shy bravery.
“through the keyhole
I hear that whistle
like the crying of lost winds” – this stanza is simply wonderful.
