Written for dVerse “St Lucy’s Day” – celebration of light
the trees drag their tips through a bog of cloud that sodden, hold-it-in bandage stone grey and shiftless and then due to some mountain’s scrape the sun falls out deep as yellow thunder staining grass and sky alike and the rain still falls but cautiously simmering among leaves and just doing its best always aiming for sparkle-side-up
Oh, that’s great! I love the mountain scrape, and the sun falling out, and the ending is just lovely.
